Looking forward to weekend plans

I am absolutely thrilled that tomorrow evening will mark the start of the weekend. Work has been busy, and the awfully indecisive weather has left me feeling drained most evenings.

Since coming back from our holidays too, we’ve been taking up every opportunity to do some extra DIY around the house, in particular digging out the cellar for a sump pump for a future conversion and a drain channel in front of our shed.

That’s meant a lot of digging, cement mixing and general hard DIY activities. It’s been rewarding but very strenuous, so when we’ve had leisurely plans booked in, like this weekend, the countdown begins.

This time tomorrow, I’ll probably be regretting that final mouthful of sushi, as our plans for Friday night is to meet up with friends at Blue Sakura, Leeds newest sushi restaurant, a dangerously great all you can eat.

I’m excited to revisit and tuck into a shed load of California rolls, and spending all night laughing with our friends during an overdue catch-up.

As for Saturday, whilst we’ll probably do some more DIY, we’ll be spending the evening at Millennium Square for The Luna Cinema experience, an open-air cinema which will be screening the Bohemian Rhapsody.

I’ve never been to an open-air cinema, so I’m eager to see what it’s like, and I’m totally thrilled to finally get to see the movie. We’ve been holding off our temptation to watch it, for hopefully a magical viewing in the city centre. Tickets are still available here.

Then for Sunday, the fun continues. I’ll be catching up with my three lovely ladies – Jennie, Tina and Victoria, for what has left like a lifetime since we last saw each other. Rendezvous location is Temple, again a first for me, where I’ll be able to feast on one (realistically probably two or three) donuts.

This is my perfect kind of weekend. Each day has a little plan, very sociable and revolves around friends and food.

Perfect.

What plans do you have for the weekend?

And I really love a good brew. If I'm not busy writing, I'll either be eating, sipping a cocktail, hiking or convincing my boyfriend we need another cat.
