Isn’t the build up to Christmas just so exciting? I love the hustle and bustle from planning and prepping, arranging gifts, decorating the house, organising meet-ups and festive feasts, work lunches and Christmas parties. It’s a festive chaos that I adore.
I’m all for the mini celebrations that lead up to that big day, and this year, I’ll be entering the official Christmas period like a stuffed turkey, with all the parties, lunches and dinners booked in beforehand. Roll on all the roast potatoes, thick gravy, brussel sprouts (lover not a hater), meat extravaganza and all the trimmings.
There is one particular weekend that is a full 72 hour non-stop celebration, or a Christmas-athon. I’m expecting nothing other than scrumptious food, Christmas jingles and dreadful cracker jokes.
Starting on the Friday, we’ll be wearing our Christmas jumpers to work, with the big ole party the following night. On the Saturday, I’m thrilled to be heading over to The Hepworth for the first time ever to enjoy a Xmas bash with bloggers including my two favourites Tina and Michelle.
Looking to book a #Christmas Party with a difference? Our Christmas Parties include cocktails on arrival, mingling upstairs @HepworthGallery, a 4-course festive dinner made by our chefs using locally sourced produce, a DJ & Chill Out Lounge. #Wakefield 🌲 https://t.co/2UISZPtbwq

I’ve been meaning to visit and indulge the menu over at The Hepworth, so I’m genuinely excited to be able to do this as a festive treat too. The full experience* is priced at £45 per person which starts with a celebratory drink upon arrival, a four course festive dinner and DJ entertainment.
So what am I most looking forward to? A relaxing night of enjoying other people’s company, exquisite food by Chris Hale (MasterChef quarter finalist), quite possibly a little boogie or two, all whilst being surrounded by internationally renowned art. Nice, right?
And then for the final 24 hours of the weekend, I’ll be catching up with more blogger buddies for our second ever Christmas meetup. Again, another foodie exploration with a gift exchange and a gander over to the Christkindelmarkt. That’s certainly one way to spend 72 hours obsessing over Christmas. And is it too early to say it…? It’s Christmaaaaaaaaaaas!
Where will you be heading to celebrate Christmas with friends and colleagues?
